Your questions, answered

The questions families actually ask. If yours is not here, call — we would rather answer it than have you guess.

We welcome children ages 2 through 5 in three classes: two-year-olds, three-year-olds, and Pre-K (four-year-olds). Children are placed by age into the class that fits them best.

Every classroom runs Monday–Friday, 9am – 12:30pm. Families choose 2 days (Tue/Thu), 3 days (Mon/Wed/Fri), or 5 days, depending on the program. Morning care (8–9am) and afternoon care (12:30–5pm) are available to extend the day.

No. We help with potty learning at whatever pace your child is going, and we will tell you honestly how it is going. Children typically grow more independent as they move into the 3s and Pre-K.

Children are signed in and out each day, and released only to the parents or guardians you authorize. Our teachers help make goodbyes gentle, especially in the early weeks.

We provide a healthy snack during the core morning. Children staying for afternoon care bring a lunch from home, and we provide a PM snack. We’re glad to work with families around allergies and dietary needs.

To keep everyone healthy, please keep your child home if they have a fever or symptoms of a communicable illness. We follow state licensing guidance on when a child can return. When in doubt, give us a call.

Tuition is a flat monthly rate based on your program and number of days — see our tuition page for current 2026–27 rates. There’s a one-time $220 registration fee to reserve a spot. We also proudly accept CoCoKids subsidies.

Enrollment is ongoing, with the most spaces opening for the fall. The best first step is a tour — then you’ll complete an application and the registration fee to hold your child’s place.

We’re a ministry of Walnut Creek Presbyterian Church, and that warmth shapes the kindness and care your child experiences. Families of every background and belief are genuinely welcome here.

Yes. We’re a licensed program (License #070200846) on a secure, gated campus with clean, bright classrooms and caring, screened staff.

Small classes, low ratios. One teacher to every six two-year-olds, nine threes and ten Pre-K children. [Maximum class size to confirm.]

Gently and positively. We guide young children with warmth, clear and consistent expectations, and redirection — helping them name feelings and repair with friends. We never use shaming or physical discipline, and we partner closely with you on anything that comes up.

Our core morning (9am – 12:30pm) doesn’t include a nap. Children who stay for afternoon care have a quiet rest time after lunch — [a mat and a chance to recharge, whether or not they sleep].

Openings are filled from the waiting list, in the order applications were received, so it is worth applying early even if you are not ready to start. [Confirm whether enrolled families and siblings get priority.]

Yes. If your preferred class is full, we’ll add your child to the waitlist at no cost and reach out as soon as a space opens — spots move more often than you’d think. A tour is still the best first step.

The $220 registration fee is non-refundable. To withdraw, we ask for [30 days’ written notice]; tuition is [prorated / billed through the notice period] and any tuition paid beyond that is refunded. [Confirm your exact terms.]
