Health & safety

Your child is in caring, capable hands

Handing over a two-year-old is a real act of trust. Here is exactly how we look after them: who we hire, how the day is secured, and what happens if something goes wrong.

Licensed & inspected

California license #070200846. We are held to state standards for ratios, staffing, facilities and record-keeping, and we are inspected against them.

Screened staff

Every teacher is background-checked and fingerprinted through the state, and holds current pediatric CPR and first aid.

Secure, gated campus

One controlled entry, enclosed play yards, and visitors signed in and accompanied.

Arrival & pick-up

Only into the right hands

Children are signed in and out by hand every day, and released only to the adults you have named in writing.

Daily sign-in and sign-out A signature and a time, both ends of the day.
Authorized pick-up list Only named adults, ID checked until staff know your face.
Visitors check in Anyone on campus during the day is signed in and accompanied.

Staying healthy

Allergies, illness, and medication

Our full policies are in the parent handbook. Call the office if you would like them before you enroll.

Allergy care

We keep a written allergy plan for every child who needs one, agreed with you before the first day. Lunches brought from home must be nut-free.

When to stay home

Please keep your child home with a fever or contagious symptoms; they may return [24 hours symptom-free], per licensing guidance.

Medication

We administer medication only with a signed authorization form and in the original labeled container.

If something happens

Prepared for the unlikely

We hope never to use any of this. We practice it anyway.

Practiced drills Regular fire and [earthquake / lockdown] drills, at a child’s pace.
Emergency supplies Water, food and first aid stocked in every classroom.
We will reach you fast A clear plan for contacting families and a designated reunification point.

Ask us anything about this

Any of it, on the phone or in person on a tour. Nobody has ever asked us a safety question we thought was excessive.
